My teaching primarily involves giving students the tools to be able to teach themselves Statistics and Probability, demonstrate how to solve certain kinds of problems, give some real-life examples about why getting Statistics right is important, and break down the relevant concepts into more simple and manageable pieces.
I studied mathematics and physics at Arizona State University and have been tutoring mathematics since January 2013 (I tutored at the largest math tutoring center in the nation (ASU's) for 3 years and got a tutor of the year reward there one year). I am always ready to learn more math and share any knowledge of it with other people (in fact I enjoy doing both!). I believe the best way to learn math is to understand the underlying concepts behind mathematical problems, to understand the problem-solving techniques used to solve specific 'types' of problems, and to question why (to be curious about) certain mathematical truths are what they are.
In High School, I took Geometry, Algebra, Calculus I, and Calculus II and received a 5 on the AP Calculus B/C exam. At ASU, I have taken (for math or math-related) Math for Business Analysis, Introduction to Programming in Java, Object-Oriented Programming in Java, Calculus III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Structures, Discrete Mathematics, Advanced Calculus I, Introduction to Abstract Algebra, Cryptography I, Number Theory, Cryptography II, Intermediate Abstract Algebra, Engineering Statistics and Probability, Differential Geometry, Honors Microeconomics, Economics of Money and Banking, Probability Theory, Physics I, II, & III, and Mathematical Methods for Physics II, General Relativity, and Classical & Continuum Mechanics.
In addition, I have completed several courses online through Harvard and Microsoft on Excel, Probability, and Power BI.
These days, I enjoy learning Statistics and Probability, tutoring these subjects, and gathering learning resources regarding these subjects (ask me more regarding these).
