About Princess
Hi there! My name is Ms. Millens, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 20 years of teaching experience, I have developed a passion for helping students succeed in their studies. I have primarily taught in Georgia, but I provide virtual services nationwide. I have taught Grades 4-12, and adult learners in higher education.
My educational background includes a Master's degree in Middle Grades Education and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction. I am certified to teach Math, English Language Arts, and Gifted learners. Outside of teaching, some of my personal interests include music, movies, travel, and trying new restaurants. I believe that building genuine relationships with families and kids is crucial to my teaching approach.

In my online sessions, I make learning relevant, interactive, and fun by incorporating graphic organizers, hands-on activities, and games. These strategies not only engage learners but also help them retain information better. To ensure effective online learning, I use scaffolding, questioning, and active participation during the "We Do/You Do" structure. I also regularly check for understanding and use "think-out-loud" techniques to promote critical thinking. Let's travel on this learning journey together and have some fun!
