Hi! I’m Jonae, a certified 6th grade math teacher with a passion for helping students build confidence and master foundational math skills. My approach is hands-on and student-centered — I meet learners where they are, break down complex concepts into simple, relatable steps, and guide them toward independent problem-solving.
A typical session starts with a quick check for understanding, followed by guided practice using real-world examples, and ends with a short reflection to solidify learning. I use visuals, interactive tools, and clear explanations to help students see the “why” behind the math — not just the “how.”
My lessons are perfect for elementary and middle school students (grades 4–7) who need support in fractions, decimals, percentages, or problem-solving, as well as those who want to strengthen their skills ahead of milestones or transitions to higher grades.
