About Michael
Outside of work, I'm a lifelong musician. Music taught me how real learning happens: steady practice, honest feedback, and building fundamentals until they become second nature. I bring that same mindset to teaching project management. You don't master this craft by memorizing a framework any more than you master an instrument by reading sheet music. You master it by doing it, with a coach who has done it too.

About Me
I'm a senior program manager with decades of experience delivering complex technology programs. Today I lead a large federal digital services program spanning multiple teams and practitioners, with a strong on-time delivery record. I manage program budgets, coach team leads weekly, and recently designed and rolled out an AI-assisted operating model that dramatically cut my program's reporting effort.
My specialty, and what sets my teaching apart, is building hybrid frameworks. I don't believe in forcing textbook Scrum, SAFe, or waterfall onto a team. I design delivery approaches tailored to a specific team's makeup, culture, and strategy, blending the best of agile and traditional practices into something that actually works in the real world. That's what I do on my programs, and it's what I'll teach you to do.

How I Teach
All lessons are online, live, and tailored to you. No canned slide decks. In our first session we map where you are, where you want to be, and build a plan to close the gap.

Real-world scenarios drawn from decades of delivery, including the situations exams don't cover but your job will.
Framework design, not framework worship: learn when to use Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or waterfall, and how to blend them into a hybrid approach that fits your team and strategy.
Plain-English explanations of frameworks, ceremonies, and terminology. I translate between executives, developers, and stakeholders for a living.
Hands-on practice: mock standups, backlog refinement, stakeholder conversations, status reporting, and interview prep.
Certification guidance for those pursuing PMP, ACP, Scrum, or SAFe credentials, from someone who has passed them all.
