About Marie
I am a 39 year old blessed mom of two amazing daughters. They were my first students and both are very strong academically. Teaching is my passion. I strongly believe that the impact your student has both in their personal (at home) and academic life (in school) has a great impact in your's students academic success. Today's generations of children who struggle academically face major challenges in their lives, from difficult family situations (busy families), emotional distress, daily negative peer interactions, undedicated (not passionate) or tired teachers, non engaging curriculums and teaching methods, lack of resources, and ultimately, lack of acknowledgement, appreciation, and compassion. It is important to me to approach each and every one of my students with respect and professionally combined with kindness and care. I am no expert, I am not digging into my student's personal lives and matters that are not my place, however, I want to provide the specific academic assistance to your student that schools will not provide or have the time to. My goal as a tutor is to help your student academically, build self confidence, and be positive about their future in school and sometimes this may fall into making personal changes. Iam to be a listening ear to their academic struggles and what they believe could help them focus and be successful in school. All information is kept confidential about your student, and any academic related or personal information your student shares with me is kept between me and the parent or legal guardian of the student. My goal is to create long lasting relationships that do not end simply when my tutoring ends with your student. I love to keep in touch and follow up always. I work together with parents to create plans that work well for the family. Lastly, in life we are to share the gifts and abilities we were given with others and my teaching abilities are the way I spread love, kindness, and care to the future of our world.

I start out with an easy interview with your student to build a confident dialogue. I encourage each student to dig deep into their struggles and what they believe is causing them. I use a compassionate and gentle approach that promotes care and self confidence. After the interview, I focus on your student's responses to the questions asked to diligently work hard to create a tutoring plan specifically catered to their needs. I also create and offer fun learning activities throughout my time with your student that relate to their individual personality and things they enjoy. Many activities can be shared with family members encouraging family involment which is very important for your student. Your child's plan is unique as himself/herself. Ultimately , as your student shows improvement I will add-on challenges and encourage them to willingly want to be a strong writer and/or reader.
