About Maria

I was born in Russia, Siberia, but grew up in London, England. As for my original background, I'm a business degree holder and one of the top graduates from a prestigious Business university from London as well as a qualified accountant, having worked in the City of London in a major bank in finance. But I have always been passionate about languages - whilst bilingual in Russian and English, I speak good levels of French and Spanish; I studied Italian too but it's a little rusty. I'm still dreaming of learning German soon. I enjoy teaching immensely as there is no better feeling than seeing my students grow and progress and reach their goals and dreams. I'd be happy to take you on this journey too. Take a trial lesson and we'll see how we can work together.

About the lesson

I've been teaching for 7 years and I've helped my students of all ages and levels improve their English skills and achieve their dreams. I've prepared my students for professional exams, for work interviews, helped them gain confidence when speaking English and enjoy this language more. I aim to continuously improve and update my teaching approach to ensure my students receive only excellence. But I'm a firm believer this is a partnership, so you need to be willing to put in the work. I'm a passionate and a supportive teacher, you won't feel afraid in my lessons - I also try to "infect" you with energy and motivation to keep going. My lessons & teaching style I aim for excellence in that I want my students to progress and reach their objectives but equally I'm patient and supportive and adapt my teaching style to student's needs, objectives and learning style. My style is flexible depending on my students needs and learning style but I do believe in using a good structure as a base foundation to ensure progress. I provide all the materials but also happy to use yours if required.

20£ is the minimum charge for natural everyday English for up to intermediate level. Higher levels and professional business English will have a higher price. A trial lesson can be taken for 11 pounds for 25 minutes to discuss all your needs.
