About Mari

I am educated as a young specialist in primary education and bachelor of philology in English, German language and literature in Kiev, Ukraine. Russian and Ukrainian are my mother tongue. I have 13 years of experience as a teacher for children, youth and adults. With extensive experience in teaching, I understand how important it is to be up to date with the latest technology, methods and techniques in the field of education and to use them in practice. During my studies at the university, I took several subjects in psychology and pedagogy, and am therefore aware of how to organize a classroom with students as well as private tête-à-tête teaching. Because of college and university studies specializing in linguistics and pedagogy, I got the theoretical basis for English and German grammar and phonetics which makes me professionally strong in these issues. Besides, I am passionate about learning new languages that motivate me to develop professionally. That is why I took Polish courses for my own personal philological upgrade, which can be used to give lessons to Polish people who want to learn Russian. At the same time my Norwegian language level is at B1 level now, this gives me the opportunity to teach Norwegians who want to take a course. Besides teaching, I have experience as a translator and interpreter. I have worked with legal texts and correspondence, as well as proofreading texts for companies. In Ukraine, I also worked as an interpreter at conferences and meetings with up to 4 languages at once - English, German, Russian and Ukrainian.

About the lesson

I base my course on different teaching materials. For example: Original texts by Russian authors, personally updated papers, basic work on phonemic and grammar of Russian language. Methodology is also based on different integration methods. Of course, different students will have the individual attitude because of the goals of studying.

Perfect! Maria har undervist russisk til mine to sønner. Eldste sønnen tok eksamen i russisk allerede etter 10 måneder med undervisning fra Maria, og har klart det med glans. For yngste sønn var målet å lære russisk slik at han kan enkelt snakke i de fleste situasjoner. Han er enda ikke ferdig, men vi ser allerede nå en stor fremgang. Maria er en motiverende lærer som raskt finner ut hvordan elevene lærer på best mulig måte. Hun knytter bånd til elevene sine på en veldig fin måte og klarer å skape en morsom og trivelig atmosfære i undervisningstimer. Kan trygt anbefalle henne :-)
