About Siya

A warm welcome! My name is Aasiyah (Aa-see-yah), my nickname is Siya, and I’m known as Your Coach Siya. I am a certified communication and confidence coach, and I’m excited to support your child’s growth and development. You can find me on ig at yourcoachsiya. I believe the most valuable education a child can receive is building confidence, emotional intelligence, and strong communication skills. These life skills are essential at every age and often more impactful than academic learning alone. Confidence already exists within every child — my role is to help bring it out and strengthen it so they can reach their highest potential.

I have been a social confidence coach for over 6 years and have worked with 1000+ kids and teens. I have over 10 years of experience working with children in total. In addition to my coaching work, I hold a degree in Psycholinguistics from the University of Toronto, and I'm a certified mental health and addictions counsellor. I am also certified in emotional intelligence, public speaking facilitation, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition, I hold a TESOL certificate and teach English online to students internationally.

About the lesson

My teaching style is warm, interactive, and highly personalized. I use a learning-through-play approach, where students build skills through engaging activities, real-life role-play, and guided practice.

Each lesson is tailored to the child’s individual needs, focusing on practical application rather than theory. I create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, building confidence, and applying social skills in real-world situations.

I can help your child/teen with a wide range of social skills and emotional development, including:

- Building inner confidence and self-awareness
- Feeling confident in any social situation
- Staying calm under pressure and managing anxiety or anger
- Improving posture, body language, eye contact, and non-verbal cues
- Starting conversations smoothly and keeping them flowing naturally
- Turning conversations into lasting friendships
- Recognizing and responding to social cues
- Developing emotional intelligence and empathy
- Expressing feelings clearly and assertively
- Setting healthy boundaries and saying “no” respectfully
- Social media etiquette and online confidence
- Resolving conflicts in a healthy way (including family situations)
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Goal-setting and self-motivation
