I lived In Mexico for 19 years, My native Spanish and English proficiency will help my students excel in their quest to improve their understanding of the grammar structure and pronunciation.
I use a combination of fun interactive methods that includes learning grammar to help with reading & writing, short fun videos of short stories or catchy songs, and games to reinforce what is learned.
My methods can easily be modified to fit my students needs: help aquire conversational skills or to get a better grade in class they are taking in school.
I have been teaching at both private and public K-12 schools to an average of 120 students per year for a total of 11 years in addition to offering adult private conversation classes and tutoring.

I would recommend taking lessons from Marcela as she is a very personable teacher and able to meet people at their skill level for the best possible education. She is also very professional and informative.
She was a wonderful teacher. I loved her classes and she is extremely knowledgeable. She gave the students so much insight no matter what level they were at and she made learning exciting and fun. I know I will personally miss being able to attend her classes in person.
Marcela is a very good instructor. She makes the classes engaging and you learn Spanish at a quicker pace. She mixes it up so you can follow along easily and keeps your attention. I would highly recommend her.
Marcela was an absolute delight as a Spanish instructor this year. She expertly taught groups with varying skill levels, from absolute novices to advanced speakers looking to improve conversation. Her lessons included multimedia elements that broke traditional models of learning a new language and made the information more accessible and practical.
Marcela's diverse background in education and the arts as well as her unique life experiences made for a teaching style and experience that enriched my studies and confidence as a Spanish speaker.
Marcela was always well prepared for class and had fun visuals and educational aids for all the students. She cares that her students understand what is being taught. She is patient and yet observing, making sure that you see the broader picture and not just the literal translation. I felt that if I could ever learn Spanish, she would be able to teach me. She is also pleasant and kind. I would give her my unqualified recommendation
