About Helene
My home is in St. Peters, Missouri. I graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree and began teaching that same year. I found the time to raise three incredible children. In addition to teaching, I have done a lot of writing of plays. In 2011, I founded an NPO theater whose mission is to destroy the stigma of mental illness. Music and theater have been a big part of my life. I have enjoyed many years as a tutor.

In the over twenty-five years of teaching, my students and I have experienced the study of Spanish through many different activities. We have learned about the Hispanic culture by changing classrooms into Oaxaca, Mexico for the celebration of El Dia de Los Muertos. We study the language in terms of vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing by creating activities that make Spanish come alive.
