About Alyson

I have more than 11 years of experience working with students as a teacher and private tutor. I am a certified K-12 Spanish teacher in Pennsylvania and currently teach at the high school level (Spanish 1, 2, 3, and AP Language and Culture). From 2013-2016, I lived in Spain where, in addition to immersing myself in Spanish language and culture, I taught English in Spanish public schools to students ages Pre-K through adult. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Corporate Communications from Duquesne University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh.

About the lesson

I work with students at every level and design custom lessons to meet you where you are at and help you reach your goals. I have worked with students as young as 4 and as old as 64 on language basics, advanced conversation, writing skills, resume building, college admissions, and more. In our preliminary session, we will discuss your goals and experiences as a learner, and I'll give you an overview of how I would approach our sessions to help get you where you want to be.
