About Marys

Hola! My name is Marys and I am from Ecuador, South America. My first language is Spanish but I have lived in the UK for many years. I grew up in Spain so I am familiar with Castilian Spanish. I am a very energetic person, with a love for travelling and culture and I have a special interest in the Deaf community and their language, which I have been learning for the past 4 years.

About the lesson

I have experience teaching both children and adults at different levels in their learning. I enjoy helping them to develop a love for the beautiful language I speak and build up their confidence, not to be afraid to make mistakes as that is part of the learning process. I have been teaching for the past 4 years and I have recently taken an ELE course which has helped me to develop my teaching skills further. Would you like to practise your conversational skills? Do you want to prepare for your GCSE exam or are you preparing for your trip to a Spanish speaking country? No matter what level you are at I am sure I can help you achieve your goals in your language learning journey. I tailor my lessons to the student so my approach will differ depending on your needs, however, I am a naturally a friendly person with a good sense of humour and transferring these qualities to my lessons helps my students feel refreshed and motivated. Hope you can book a lesson with me soon

I highly recommend Marys as a Spanish tutor. She worked with my son and did a wonderful job not only teaching him the language but also making the lessons engaging and enjoyable. My son always looked forward to his sessions, and I could see his confidence grow each week. Marys is patient, kind, and skilled at adapting the material to fit the student’s learning style. Thanks to her guidance, my son developed a much stronger foundation in Spanish and a genuine interest in continuing to learn. Thank you Marys
