¡Hola! I’m Sandra, a native Spanish speaker and experienced language educator with over 20 years of teaching experience across a wide range of age groups and learning contexts. I hold a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Spanish, and I’ve taught in both public and private schools, as well as through one-on-one tutoring. My Approach as a Spanish Tutor As a native Spanish speaker with over 20 years of teaching experience, my approach is rooted in patience, personalization, and cultural connection. I believe that language learning thrives when students feel supported, understood, and inspired. That’s why I tailor every lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and pace. Teaching Method & Techniques I use a communicative and interactive teaching style that blends grammar, conversation, and cultural immersion. My lessons often include visuals, real-world materials (like songs, videos, and articles), and activities that strengthen speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I also integrate storytelling and creative exercises to keep students engaged while building their confidence. A Typical Lesson Plan Each lesson includes: A warm-up or quick review to activate prior knowledge A target skill or topic (e.g., past tense, food vocabulary, or conversational practice) Guided practice using visuals, dialogue, or games Application through a short task, role-play, or authentic material A wrap-up with feedback and next steps For younger learners, I keep lessons highly visual and interactive.
