About Yeyhlin
As a dedicated and hardworking tutor, I strive to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and capable of succeeding. I am currently pursuing double majors in Public Health and Spanish at Hollins University, where I have developed strong communication, analytical, and academic skills through rigorous coursework and professional experience.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to fit the individual’s learning style, pace, and goals. My approach combines patience, organization, and encouragement to help students not only improve academically but also gain confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs help understanding difficult concepts, improving writing skills, strengthening study habits, or building confidence in Spanish, I focus on making learning approachable and engaging.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience balancing demanding coursework, multiple jobs, and leadership responsibilities, which has strengthened my time management, professionalism, and ability to work well with others. Students and families can expect reliability, preparation, and genuine dedication during every session.
As a bilingual tutor fluent in both English and Spanish, I can also provide additional support for Spanish-speaking students or students learning Spanish at beginner or intermediate levels. My approach as a tutor is centered on patience, adaptability, and making students feel comfortable asking questions without judgment. As a double major in Public Health and Spanish at Hollins University, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on the student’s needs, pace, and confidence level. I believe tutoring should not only help students complete assignments but also help them truly understand the material and feel more confident academically.
Teaching Method and Techniques
I focus on interactive and supportive learning rather than memorization alone. I like to break difficult concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and connect them to real-life examples whenever possible. I encourage students to actively participate by asking questions, explaining concepts back to me, and practicing problems together. For language tutoring, I emphasize conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and cultural understanding in a natural way. For subjects like writing, public health, or history, I focus on organization, critical thinking, and building strong analytical skills.
