About Jennifer

I am a BC-certified teacher with experience in classroom teaching, Learning Support, Career Education, and individualized student support. I hold a Bachelor of Education and a BA in Psychology, and I bring many years of experience working with children and youth with a wide range of learning needs.

I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a respectful space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. My goal is to provide professional, encouraging support that helps each student make real progress.

About the lesson

I use a supportive, student-centred approach that builds confidence as well as academic skills. I break learning into clear, manageable steps using modelling, guided practice, and practical strategies that make schoolwork feel less overwhelming.

Each session is tailored to the student and may include English, writing, reading comprehension, assignments, study skills, organization, and homework support. I am a BC-certified teacher with experience in classroom teaching and Learning Support, and I’m especially comfortable working with middle and high school students who feel discouraged, disorganized, reluctant to engage, or unsure where to begin.

My goal is to help students feel capable, understood, and more independent in their learning.
