About Martha
Private instruction reveals the singular rhythm of a student. Teaching was never the initial objective. Patterns define the violin and these sequences remain teachable through deliberate repetition.
I hold 5 levels of Suzuki Association of the Americas Certification to guide learners through the concerto repertoire. Totaling over 200+ students mentored, the focus remains on making the next challenge feel manageable. Precision transforms the instrument into a voice. The classroom setting was not for me, but the intimacy of one-to-one guidance proved to be the place where I belong.

Pacing remains the primary driver of technical growth during these 60 minute periods. Progress reports shared monthly provide parents with a transparent view of the journey.
Detailed posture and hold correction happens alongside rigorous ear training and music theory. Classical repertoire serves as the foundation for tone production and bowing nuance.
Spiccato and staccato techniques receive constant scrutiny to ensure orchestral standards are met. Sight reading is integrated to build fluency. Exam preparation for ABRSM and Trinity boards maintains a sharp focus on results. The 6.0 scale rating ensures that parents receive consistent data regarding advancement throughout every phase of the training.
