About Celia
With over 11 years of experience, I teach singing to college students using a balance of technical training and creative exploration. I focus on breath control, pitch, vocal tone, range, and expressive performance, helping students sing confidently and with feeling.
I use innovative methods to make lessons engaging, including vocal improvisation, recording exercises, and practical song application. I customise each lesson to suit the student’s learning pace, goals, and strengths, ensuring steady progress and enjoyment.
Performance skills are a key part of my teaching. I guide students to build stage presence, emotional expression, and confidence for solo and group performances. Music theory and ear training are included to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of the music they perform.
I encourage students to explore genres, experiment with styles, and develop their unique voice. Over the years, I have helped students succeed in college performances, competitions, and auditions while maintaining a love for music.
My teaching philosophy emphasises creativity, communication, and accountability. I strive to make every lesson inspiring, enjoyable, and empowering, helping students grow as expressive, confident, and skilled singers.
