About Lisa

As an experienced French tutor, I believe that the best language instruction combines structured learning with cultural immersion and real-world application. Over the course of 9 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching many students from diverse backgrounds, each with unique goals and learning preferences. I prioritize building a strong grammatical foundation alongside practical vocabulary acquisition, always encouraging students to practice speaking from day one. My lessons focus on interactive exercises that simulate everyday conversations, such as ordering at a café, asking for directions, or sharing personal stories. This practical approach helps students internalize language structures and boosts their confidence in using French spontaneously. About the lesson

I customize lessons to fit each student’s needs—whether for exams, travel, or personal growth—using a mix of engaging resources like music, games, visual aids, and authentic texts to keep lessons lively and relevant.

Cultural immersion is key; I introduce francophone history, customs, media, and current affairs through film clips, songs, and discussions to deepen students’ appreciation for the language’s cultural richness. A highlight in my career was helping a student struggling with grammar gain clarity and confidence through creative drills and patient explanation, resulting in passing a critical language exam that opened new horizons.
