About Cristina
I know from personal experience that maths, physics and engineering can sometimes feel overwhelming, having a PhD definitely doesn't mean I always found everything easy! I believe that struggling with a concept is a normal part of learning, and sometimes all you need is for someone to explain it in a different way.
I am very patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting things wrong. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where we can work through difficulties together and hopefully make even the scary-looking problems feel a little less scary!
And if you are learning Italian, the same philosophy applies: no judgement, no pressure, just conversation, mistakes, corrections and hopefully some fun along the way.

I like to keep my lessons friendly and relaxed, and I always try my best to understand where someone is struggling and find a different way to explain a concept until it clicks.
I am a Chartered Engineer with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a background in Aerospace Engineering. I also have teaching experience from my time at university and can help with maths, physics and engineering subjects at different levels.
As a native Italian speaker, I also offer relaxed Italian conversation sessions for anyone who would like to improve their fluency and confidence while having a chat!
Lessons are usually around one hour and can be online or in person.
