About Shane
I am a farm boy from a small town in country Victoria. From an early age I wanted to join the Army, so after University I joined up and spent 13 years in the Australian Regular Army as an officer. Seeking operational experience, I then joined the British Army for 9 years, which included one tour of Kosovo and two tours of Iraq. After the army I retrained as a teacher. I enjoy cricket, Australian Football and playing guitar in live bands. I am married with three older children and live on a small property with two sheep (Rocky and Dobby), four chickens, one dog (Rosie) and one cat (Po Po).
