About Arohi
I am a Chemical and Environmental Engineering student at the University of Nottingham, with a strong academic background in Maths and the sciences.
I completed my secondary education in Singapore, following its rigorous O-Level curriculum in Maths, Additional Maths, Biology and Chemistry. This gave me a strong foundation in Maths and the sciences, which I continued to build on through UK A-Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and now through my engineering degree.
Having studied through both the Singapore O-Level and UK A-Level systems, I have experience with different approaches to learning and examinations. I understand the importance of building a strong understanding of the fundamentals and developing the confidence to apply knowledge to different types of questions.
I take my lessons seriously and aim to provide a supportive, professional and comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely and work through challenging topics without feeling pressured.

My approach is centred around understanding rather than memorisation. I explain concepts clearly from the basics, making sure students understand the reasoning behind them before moving on to practice questions. We work through questions together, gradually building confidence and independence, while I adapt the pace and difficulty to suit each student's individual needs.
I have experience volunteering as a tutor for primary and lower-secondary students, teaching Maths and Science in small groups of 1–3 students. This has helped me develop a patient and approachable teaching style, where I encourage students to ask questions and take their time when working through challenging topics.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long and take place online. I can help with learning new topics, homework, revision and exam preparation.
