About Kurt
Hello, my name is Kurt. I am a chemical engineering graduate and an experienced middle and high school teacher who has worked in an international school environment. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve academically, and develop a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.
I teach German, English, Spanish, Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus), Inorganic Chemistry, and Middle School Physics. My experience teaching students from different backgrounds has helped me become patient, adaptable, and supportive in my teaching approach.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to fit each student’s pace, goals, and learning style. Whether a student needs help improving grades, preparing for exams, strengthening fundamentals, or practicing languages, I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
As a tutor, I value professionalism, clear communication, and consistency. I strive to make lessons engaging, organized, and productive while helping students become more independent and confident learners over time.

I believe learning should be engaging, structured, and adapted to each student’s individual needs and goals. I teach German, English, Spanish, Mathematics (including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus), Inorganic Chemistry, and Middle School Physics.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundational understanding while also helping students develop confidence and problem-solving skills. I explain concepts step-by-step, use real-world examples when possible, and encourage students to ask questions freely. I adapt my lessons depending on the student’s learning style, whether they need extra support, homework help, exam preparation, or more advanced challenges.
A typical lesson usually begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by explanation of new concepts, guided practice, and independent exercises to reinforce understanding. I also help students identify common mistakes and develop effective study strategies.
What sets me apart is my international teaching experience, multilingual background, and ability to teach both languages and STEM subjects in a patient and supportive way. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel motivated to improve.
