About Cary
For the first 7 years of my career, I was a process control engineer in the manufacturing industry. I then turned to teaching in the homeschool community where I have been teaching my own and other students math, science, economics, and computer science. My students have achieved high scores on the ACT and SAT and have thrived in colleges such as UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, and Diablo Valley College. I have a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada. In my 20 years as an educator, I have experienced a variety of learning styles and have discovered that there is no cookie cutter technique to learning. I have explored a variety of curricula and reference materials such as Aleks, Kahn Academy, Abeka, Singapore Math, and Moog programs.

Cary and I have children who have been In a co-op together for about 8 years. I’ve seen her teach both in a classroom setting and one on one. She is extremely knowledgeable and very patient which makes her a wonderful teacher.
I have known Cary for 8 years as a gentle patient gifted teacher. She has been teaching for over 20 years and is a Chemical Engineer especially talented in understanding how to make Geometry Algebra Trigonometry Calculus or Chemistry understandable. She is brilliant yet patient humble and loves to teach. Having laughter a part of learning is her gift to this generation of stressed students.
