About the lesson

My teaching style is student-centred and adaptive. I begin by assessing each learner’s current level, learning goals, and preferred learning style. From there, I build structured lessons that balance clear explanations, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. I use a variety of techniques such as: Active learning: Encouraging students to explain concepts back to me, which reinforces understanding. Scaffolded instruction: Breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, then gradually increasing difficulty. Real-world application: Connecting theory to practical examples to make learning more engaging and memorable. Formative feedback: Offering constructive, specific feedback throughout the lesson so students can make immediate improvements. Confidence-building: Celebrating progress and creating a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions. Lesson Structure & Length A typical lesson lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the learner’s age, attention span, and subject complexity. Longer sessions (90 minutes) can be arranged for advanced students or exam preparation. Each lesson usually includes: A quick warm-up or review of previous material Clear explanation of the new topic Interactive exercises and discussion A short assessment or reflection to consolidate learning A brief summary and optional practice/homework tasks Qualifications & Experience I have extensive experience tutoring students across a range of ages and abilities.
