About Rebecca
While I find academics to be one of my most important priorities, I find it just as important to take time for myself and engage with something I love just as much: music. Surprisingly enough, music and mathematics go hand-in-hand through time signatures, rhythms, and other music theory.
In the same way that I enjoy math and music, I have always found that students really come to enjoy math and its methods when they understand it. My goal as a tutor is to get you to the point where math makes sense and may even become one of your more favorable subjects.

Studying as a chemical engineering student in which I was required to take math classes of all topics, I found myself often frustrated with professors and teachers who only wanted to teach math with theory instead of application. I believe strongly that application is the most important step to feeling comfortable with math and the theory, if a student is interested, will make sense along the way.
My lessons are for students from middle to high school that want to feel comfortable in approaching any problem, especially on quizzes or exams. You can expect for me to approach any topic I tutor in at your level, and truly your current level, and building up to where you need to be with check-ins along the way without judgment.

Perfect! Helped our son prepare for his Geometry mid-term. Was willing to look over his study guide and set-up a session on pretty short notice. Rebecca was such a great help!
