About Ben
I am passionate about teaching as it is a big part of my life. Both of my parents are secondary school teachers, so you could say it's in my blood! I really enjoy helping students grow to understand the complex topics of Chemistry and hope to inspire some young students to follow a path in the subject. I enjoy meeting past students of mine and them having fond memories of the subject and thanking me; it never ceases to brighten my day to know I have helped someone!

I tend to teach by using real-world analogies to approach the abstract ideas brought about in Chemistry. A belief of mine is that to do is to learn so practice questions are my favourite way to aid learning.
Lessons can run from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the need of the student. I tailor every lesson to the student and focus on areas that they want to help with.
I earned top grades LC chemistry and recently graduated college with a chemistry degree. In college, I spent a year doing Peer-Assisted Learning and tutored Chemistry to first year college students.
Lessons are mainly focused on Leaving Cert Chemistry students, but I can also assist JC Science and JC Maths and LC Maths.
