About Lana
My fascination with Chemistry began with curiosity about how substances interact and transform. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, where I gained expertise in theoretical principles, laboratory skills, and analytical reasoning. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided students at various academic levels, helping them progress from uncertainty to conceptual clarity and confidence through patient, structured instruction. I teach with patience, adaptability, and clarity. I take the time to understand each learner’s thinking style and tailor explanations using diagrams, analogies, and step-by-step reasoning. I encourage curiosity and promote a mindset where mistakes are valuable learning opportunities, helping students build resilience and confidence. Outside teaching, I actively engage with Chemistry through experimentation, reading, and keeping abreast of modern research developments. Teaching Chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness learners develop analytical skills, confidence, and independence. Supporting their intellectual growth is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes engaging and accessible when concepts are presented in a structured, clear, and interactive manner. My lessons cover atomic theory, chemical bonding, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, and energy transformations, emphasizing understanding over memorization. I help students see connections between topics, which develops their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Each session is carefully paced to gradually build confidence while encouraging curiosity about the natural world.
Lesson content is tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners learn chemical symbols, basic reactions, and simple formula writing using visual explanations and guided practice. Intermediate learners focus on stoichiometry, periodic trends, acids and bases, and reaction types through interactive exercises. Advanced learners explore equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, and complex organic reactions, with an emphasis on structured problem-solving strategies, accuracy, and conceptual clarity. Carefully selected exercises reinforce understanding and track student progress effectively.
Chemistry lessons also foster patience, logical reasoning, and independent thinking. As learners gain conceptual clarity, they are able to approach scientific challenges confidently and methodically. Many students develop a genuine appreciation for Chemistry as a logical, structured, and approachable discipline.
