About Niyah

My path in chemistry began with a strong interest in how matter transforms and interacts. I earned a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, studying organic, physical, and analytical chemistry alongside laboratory work. Over 8 years of teaching, I have supported students in developing clarity and confidence through structured explanation. My teaching philosophy centers on clarity and patience. I focus on breaking problems into manageable steps and explaining the principles behind each reaction or calculation. I adapt lessons to individual needs, ensuring students feel supported throughout their learning journey. Outside teaching, I continue engaging with chemistry through reading and applied problem-solving. This keeps my lessons relevant and accurate. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I see learners grow more confident with each concept mastered. Supporting students as they develop precision and understanding remains the core of my work.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes far less intimidating when learners understand the logic behind chemical behavior. My lessons focus on explaining how atoms, molecules, and reactions interact in a structured and meaningful way. Topics such as atomic structure, periodic trends, bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and reaction types are introduced gradually to build strong foundations. I emphasize reasoning and step-by-step problem-solving so students feel confident handling calculations and concepts. Lessons are calm, supportive, and interactive, encouraging students to ask questions freely.

Lesson design adapts to the learner’s stage. Beginners focus on chemical language, units, and basic reaction understanding. Intermediate learners develop quantitative skills, reaction analysis, and conceptual connections. Advanced learners refine equilibrium reasoning, kinetics, and exam-level accuracy. Worked examples and guided corrections are used consistently to reinforce understanding.

Studying chemistry helps students develop precision, analytical discipline, and confidence. As ideas become clearer, learners approach problems with less hesitation. My goal is to help students see chemistry as an organized, logical system they can understand and apply confidently.
