About Harry
Hi! I'm Harry, I am a second year PhD student at the University of Manchester where I am investigating the use of novel nanoparticles to enhance the effect of radiotherapy against brain tumours. I am also a registered clinical scientist, having successfully completed the NHS's Scientist Training Programme in 2022. Prior to this, I worked as an industrial research chemist at a start-up technology firm.
Academically, my primary area of expertise is in chemistry. However, my research spans areas of science ranging from cell biology to radiation physics and so I can tutor a wide variety of subjects to students. Having worked in a wide variety of academic, industrial, and clinical positions, I am also able to give practical advice to students on the opportunities that a career in science can offer.

I offer chemistry tuition up to A level and biology and physics to GCSE.
I recognise that all students learn in different ways, such as verbal and visual learning. I therefore try to discuss with students how best I can deliver teaching which best meets their individual needs. In addition, for students facing examinations I believe that sitting exams is in itself an important skill, and that a core part of revision should be working through practice questions.
