About Mattia

My name is Mattia, I'm a trilingual French-Italian Londoner, and I've just finished a BSc in Chemistry at Imperial College. I've always had a knack for explaining things effectively and concisely, partly due to a lifetime of helping out my siblings with their homework :)

Before I start my Masters year next year, I would love the opportunity to tutor students in my favourite subjects, the sciences, and convey to them the beauty and elegance of these fields.

After getting top grades in my 4 A-Levels (Chemistry, Physics, Maths and German), I decided to go on deepening my knowledge of Chemistry at university, and it has never stopped fascinating me. I would be able to bring this experience to my teaching, allowing school pupils thinking of doing Chemistry later on to get a taster of the wider scope of the things they are learning.

About the lesson

I have always had a passion for getting as deep an understanding as possible of a concept, and the way I teach reflects this. I love finding innovative ways of explaining things visually, and having as many questions as possible both from teacher to student and vice versa, in typically one-hour lessons.

I have tutored children in maths at a Saturday school, as part of my old school's outreach programme, as well as planning and delivering science lessons to whole classes. I would feel confident teaching any age from 11 to 18, with a particular focus on A-Level, and pushing a student's knowledge even further.
