About Jessica
I have a masters in Medicinal and Biological chemistry and experience teaching science to children and young adults aged 4-18. I have degree-level knowledge of biology and chemistry, and the physical and mathematical concepts and techniques that underpin both subjects. I have science communication qualifications and 2 Edinburgh awards for my contributions to outreach and widening participation.

My teaching methodology is to deconstruct to the most simple concepts, creating a baseline level to built upon. I am good at using diagrams and analogies to make content relatable and easier to understand. I can recognise ability and prior learning in different children, and tailor my lessons accordingly.
