About Grace

I am a kind, patient, and understanding graduate with a passion for helping students thrive, especially when they find classroom learning challenging. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and sometimes all it takes is having a concept explained in a different way. That’s where I come in! My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.

As an aspiring teacher, I draw on my practical UK classroom experience and tutoring background in New Zealand to help students tackle challenging topics and make sense of complex ideas. By adapting my teaching approach to suit each student’s individual needs and learning style, I aim to make maths more accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding.

About the lesson

I offer one-to-one maths tutoring tailored to each student’s individual needs, focusing on identifying key areas for improvement and building confidence and understanding. Lessons use in-class resources and past exam papers to reinforce learning, consolidate key concepts, and develop exam technique.

With experience supporting secondary school maths classes in both New Zealand and the UK as a Teaching Assistant, I adapt my approach to suit each student’s learning needs. Sessions are available in 30-minute or 1-hour slots, with one hour recommended to allow time for a deeper understanding of concepts and practice applying them.
