About Blake

My fascination with chemistry started from observing the transformations of substances, the patterns of reactions, and the invisible molecular interactions underlying the physical world. This curiosity led me to earn a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, gaining expertise in both theoretical principles and laboratory techniques. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided learners of all ages and levels, from beginners building foundational skills to advanced students preparing for research, competitive exams, or career development.

I teach with patience, clarity, and an emphasis on conceptual understanding. Lessons combine stepwise explanations, interactive exercises, and illustrative examples that make abstract topics approachable. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and engage in problem-solving activities, fostering both analytical skill and confidence. My aim is to help learners become proficient, curious, and empowered in their understanding of chemistry.

Outside the classroom, I actively explore laboratory research, contemporary chemical literature, and practical applications in various industries. Incorporating real-world examples into lessons helps students see the relevance of chemistry in everyday life. Witnessing learners progress from uncertainty to confidence, gaining mastery, analytical ability, and curiosity, is deeply fulfilling. I am committed to supporting students in achieving academic success while cultivating a lifelong appreciation for chemistry.

Chemistry becomes an engaging and meaningful subject when students understand how molecules interact, reactions occur, and principles connect to real-world applications. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, including molecular structure, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, spectroscopy, and analytical methods. I emphasise conceptual clarity over memorisation, ensuring students understand why reactions behave the way they do. Each session integrates hands-on exercises, step-by-step problem-solving, visualisations, and real-life examples to make chemistry tangible, engaging, and inspiring.

Lesson plans are customised according to the learner’s level. Beginners focus on atomic structure, chemical bonding, and fundamental reactions, establishing a strong foundation. Intermediate students explore reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, molecular geometry, spectroscopy, and applied problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle complex organic synthesis, chemical modelling, and analytical experiments, preparing for competitive exams, research, or professional growth. Each lesson incorporates guided exercises, discussion, and practical applications to reinforce understanding, critical thinking, and confidence in problem-solving.

Beyond academics, chemistry lessons develop logical reasoning, analytical observation, and structured problem-solving skills. Students learn to connect theory with experiments, think critically, and approach challenges with confidence. My goal is to help learners not only excel academically but also cultivate curiosity, confidence, and a deep appreciation for the molecular foundations of the world around them.
