About Tessa
I hold a PhD in Chemistry and have been teaching for 11 years. My journey in Chemistry began with a deep curiosity about how materials change and interact. Over the years, I have helped students from different levels understand complex concepts in a simple and effective way.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I explain concepts using simple language and real-life examples so students can relate to what they are learning. I also adjust my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level, ensuring they feel supported and confident.
Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with Chemistry through reading and exploring new developments in the field. Teaching is meaningful to me because I see students grow from confusion to clarity. Helping them build confidence and achieve their goals motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Chemistry becomes interesting when students understand how substances behave and interact instead of just memorizing reactions. My lessons focus on building a strong conceptual base in chemical bonding, reactions, and properties through simple explanations. I guide students to understand the “why” behind each concept so they can think independently and solve problems with confidence. Each lesson creates a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas and asking questions.
I design lessons according to the student’s level and needs. Beginners focus on atoms, molecules, and basic reactions with clear step-by-step guidance. Intermediate learners study reaction mechanisms, periodic trends, and numerical problem solving. Advanced students explore complex topics like organic chemistry, equilibrium, and thermodynamics. Practice problems, concept discussions, and feedback are included in every lesson to ensure steady improvement.
Chemistry helps students develop logical reasoning and analytical skills. As they begin to understand patterns, they feel more confident handling complex problems. Many students start to enjoy the subject once they see how it connects to real life. My goal is to make Chemistry clear, structured, and engaging so students can succeed and feel confident in their learning journey.
