About Calia

I have 9 years of experience teaching Chemistry to students preparing for examinations and science-focused academic pathways. I earned a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, which gave me strong grounding in molecular structure, laboratory reasoning, and applied chemical understanding. This academic background allows me to teach chemistry with clarity and depth.

My teaching style is supportive, organised, and focused on helping learners truly understand chemical principles. I enjoy breaking down difficult reaction systems into simple, logical steps that students can apply confidently. I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning through practice.

Outside tutoring, I stay connected to chemistry through scientific reading, interest in environmental applications, and exploring modern chemical innovations. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because students often transform from confusion into confidence. Supporting that growth motivates my work.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes much clearer when students learn to see it as a logical system of patterns rather than disconnected facts. In my lessons, I guide learners through atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and introductory organic chemistry with structured explanation and consistent practice. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind chemical behaviour so problem solving feels meaningful and connected.

Lessons are adapted to the learner’s level. Beginners build confidence in chemical vocabulary, periodic trends, and basic equation understanding. Intermediate students strengthen calculation skills, mole concepts, reaction prediction, and laboratory interpretation. Advanced learners focus on equilibrium, thermochemistry, organic pathways, and exam-style extended responses. Every class includes guided exercises and supportive feedback to ensure steady improvement.

Chemistry lessons help students develop confidence in scientific thinking and analytical problem solving. Over time, learners become more comfortable applying concepts instead of memorising isolated details. My goal is to help students succeed academically while appreciating chemistry as an elegant and practical science.
