About Oliver

My fascination with chemistry began with curiosity about how substances interact, transform, and influence the world around us. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Chemical Sciences, equipping me with a solid foundation in both theory and practice. Over 9 years, I have guided learners across all levels, helping them translate complex chemical concepts into accessible understanding while fostering confidence and independent thinking.

I adopt a teaching style that combines clear explanations, hands-on practice, and real-world examples. Lessons focus on understanding principles, applying logical reasoning, and encouraging critical thinking, ensuring students develop both conceptual mastery and practical proficiency. I emphasize curiosity, exploration, and independent problem-solving as key components of effective learning.

Beyond teaching, I stay actively engaged in laboratory research, literature review, and chemical modeling to enrich my lessons with real-world relevance. Witnessing students progress from initial uncertainty to mastery, analytical thinking, and confident application of chemistry is profoundly fulfilling. My mission is to equip learners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to excel academically and practically in chemistry.

About the lesson

Chemistry is an extraordinary subject that reveals the interactions, transformations, and principles underlying the physical world. My lessons cover organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical equilibria, and analytical techniques, combining theoretical explanation with practical applications and problem-solving exercises. Students are encouraged to explore experiments conceptually, question observations critically, and develop a deep understanding of chemical phenomena. Lessons are structured to make concepts both clear and engaging, fostering curiosity, confidence, and intellectual growth.

Lessons are customized to the student’s current level. Beginners focus on atomic structure, bonding, simple reactions, and stoichiometric calculations. Intermediate learners advance to reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibria, molecular modeling, and applied problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle spectroscopy, organic mechanisms, advanced physical chemistry concepts, and analytical projects, preparing for exams or research applications. Each session combines guided practice, conceptual reinforcement, and contextual examples to ensure mastery.
