About Micael
I have a Master's degree in Chemistry from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry also from UC San Diego. I've taught at MiraCosta College, San Diego City College, and Southwestern College. When it comes to textbook chemistry, be assured that you are being guided by a college professor who has taught this subject and these concepts to hundreds of students for a living. When it comes to real-life application, be assured that you are being guided by a professional chemist with years of work in an actual chemical facility. I was a student just like you and I developed my own tools and devices to retain information in the subject. My job is to pass those tools on so you can focus on the fundamentals and build around them.

As a tutor for over 14 years, I have a method for how I like to approach sessions:
- We begin with what you are having problems with (a concept, a homework question, a quiz review)
- I then tailor the session to your specific problem (we review the concept, we walk through the homework problem, we review for the quiz together)
- Finally, you will be tested to ensure your understanding during class (I will ask you questions and give you a copy of our diagrams/work for your reference)

First session is completely free!
My hourly rate in-person and online is $30/hr.
I charge an additional $10 for all in-person appointments to help with the cost of driving.
If you're interested in multiple hours or group sessions, please let me know and I can give a discount. Typically I charge the same rate for groups up to 3 students ($30/hr) so bring your friends to study for an exam!
