About Gemma
Hi, I am currently a first year chemistry student at Cardiff University and am looking to tutor mainly maths and science. I think it's so important to study these subjects, as it helps us gain a deeper understanding into the world around us and helps us gain vital skills for working life.
At A Level, I studied maths, biology and chemistry. Thanks to the support of my amazing teachers, I learnt how to refine my revision style and figured out the best revision techniques for me. I am hoping that I can pass those skills on to the next generation of learners, especially those who may struggle to stay motivated.

I believe that the best way to learn something is to explore the topic with an open mind and to engage in conversation with others to further cement your understanding. Once a student has understood a topic, I like to get the student to 'teach' the topic back to me, as I find that learning by teaching is incredibly effective at improving long term retention.
