About Hristo-Dinu-Eduard

I am a University College London undergraduate Chemistry student. Chemistry was one favorite subject in high school as laboratory practicals while also new knowledge on chemistry sparked my interest and motivated me to learn, apply and learn more.

Applications for UK universities were stressful and IB exams even more. However, my experience was eased somewhat by aware and expert people around me who helped in their own way. One important factor in IBDP is the content and taught material; hence my tutors played a significant role in my achievements. Tutors are always willing to assist in things they are confident about; I believe I can achieve through Superprof, as I am more than willing to help students myself.

While studying, I have taken up gym exercise and occasional tennis or volleyball practice. Mindfulness is an important part of my wellbeing, too. Personally, I found that my extracurricular activities were, are and will be needed for a healthier life, reduction of stress and a calm and reasonable way of thinking - core requirements for success in IB exams!

About the lesson

The best way to deliver material is to explain something you understand!

My method involves thorough preparation on my behalf so that all resources and IB criteria are clear to students and handy during the lesson. Prepared notes for taught material are provided in files for download, as are additional resources. A lesson is shaped by the student's needs but can typically involve revising material, illustration with examples, attempt to solve exam-like questions or even explanations to specific exercises from books/elsewhere.

My ultimate goal is to help my students achieve their goals - understand the IB curriculum and criteria and improve in the area of study. The main way of achieving that is by monitoring progress (noting down areas of difficulty or strengths, keeping track of response to similar questions), persistence on the student's ability to comprehend the material and application of improvement methods (repetition of questions where the student struggles, finding a way to avoid memorization or ease remembering, providing extensions to the difficulty of questions gradually or even preparation of after-session material for self-study).

It is undoubtable that during my 2 IB years I found my own way to prepare for the exams. My intention, however, is to generate a unique way that helps every individual student, through different techniques of learning and shaping the students' approach to questions.
