About Bella
Hi! I’m a second-year Chemistry student at UCL with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping others succeed in science. I know how overwhelming chemistry can feel at times, but with the right guidance and support, it does start to make sense — and even become enjoyable. As a tutor, I aim to create a positive, relaxed learning environment where no question is ever too small. I’m patient, approachable, and always happy to explain things in different ways until they click. My lessons are carefully structured, but flexible — I adapt to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style. Studying chemistry at university has given me a deep understanding of the subject, as well as experience with many different types of questions, techniques, and exam styles. I’ve supported classmates, helped younger students prepare for exams, and understand what it takes to build both knowledge and confidence. I take my role seriously and always aim to be punctual, organised, and prepared for each session. You can count on me to provide a professional and encouraging learning experience.

My teaching style is clear, patient, and adaptable. I believe chemistry doesn’t have to feel intimidating — it just needs to be explained in the right way. I focus on building real understanding by connecting abstract ideas to real-life examples and breaking complex concepts down step by step. I also help students develop strong problem-solving skills and exam strategies, not just memorise content. In a typical session (usually 60 minutes), I start by identifying areas of difficulty and setting clear goals. We’ll go through key topics using worked examples, past paper questions, and visual aids (like diagrams or mechanisms), and I always leave time for questions and revision tips. For students working towards exams, I can also provide structured revision plans and practice tests.
