About Abbey
I am a chemistry student having just finished first year with a distinction. I completed all GCSE sciences and maths with straight A’s and have tutored two GCSE students in the past on a casual basis. I also worked closely with the science department at my grammar school in order to set up revision sessions for younger years and enjoyed taking time out to do this.

My preferred teaching method greatly depends on the student however I find for revision purposes a topic summary based off of the specification followed by question and answer discussions helps consolidate knowledge. Practice papers are also a vital tool in both learning and revision and often it is easier to speak through these than sit them under exam conditions. Mark schemes for said papers help to understand what exactly the examiner is looking for while cross referencing with the specification highlights areas of strength and weakness.
