About Claire
Have you ever wondered why chemical reactions occur exactly the way they do? My 13 years of experience teaching Chemistry allow me to demystify complex reaction mechanisms and periodic table trends for every level.
Holding an MSc in Chemical Physics from Stanford University, I emphasize foundational conceptual learning above rote memorization. I have helped 119 students navigate the challenges of acids and bases as well as chemical bonding. My narrative as an educator centers on the intuition behind the rules that exams reward. Through my career, I have seen grades shift within a single term as students gain technical clarity.
Inorganic chemistry and thermochemistry are my areas of specialty. I am the instructor who makes difficult chemistry feel intuitive and straightforward.

Teaching happens best when we isolate the core mechanism first. A student stares at a thermochemistry problem for 10 minutes, but we solve it in 2. My Stanford background informs this technical efficiency. I offer weekly problem sets with step-by-step solutions for every learner.
We tackle exam preparation and reaction mechanisms with energy. Beginners and working professionals find this method effective. My years of experience keep our sessions focused and productive.
You will find that our time together centers on clarity and confidence. I promise to keep the pace fast and the learning deep.
