About Patrick
My fascination with chemistry began with curiosity about how molecular interactions shape industries, medicine, and everyday materials. I earned a B.Sc in Analytical Chemistry and later an M.Sc in Industrial Chemical Science, which allowed me to explore both theoretical depth and practical applications. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students through chemistry with clarity, patience, and structured encouragement.
I believe chemistry should feel logical and meaningful rather than overwhelming. My teaching style focuses on conceptual understanding, step-by-step reasoning, and helping learners build confidence through practice rather than memorisation. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace so they feel supported and comfortable asking questions.
Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with chemistry through continued study of industrial processes, research developments, and scientific innovation. Teaching is fulfilling because I witness learners transform from uncertainty into confident scientific thinkers who approach chemistry with curiosity and independence.

Chemistry becomes much clearer when students see it as the science of patterns, balance, and transformation rather than memorisation. My lessons focus on helping learners understand atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, equilibrium, acids and bases, and thermodynamics through calm explanation and relatable examples. I guide students step by step so they can connect concepts logically and approach problems with confidence. Sessions are supportive and designed to make chemistry feel approachable.
Lesson structure depends on the learner’s level. Beginners build strong foundations in the periodic table, mole calculations, balancing equations, and reaction basics with patient guidance. Intermediate learners strengthen skills in titration, kinetics, solution chemistry, and energy changes through structured practice. Advanced students refine multi-step mechanisms, analytical reasoning, exam accuracy, and deeper conceptual understanding with careful feedback. Each lesson includes problem-solving practice that ensures steady growth.
Chemistry lessons also build scientific discipline and resilience. Students learn how to approach complex calculations calmly, interpret chemical behaviour logically, and trust their ability to succeed.
