About Opal
My fascination with chemistry began early, driven by curiosity about molecular interactions and chemical reactions. This passion led me to complete a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, providing a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical principles and laboratory techniques. Over 12 years of teaching, I have helped students at all levels gain conceptual clarity, analytical reasoning skills, and confidence in solving complex chemical problems.
I emphasize interactive, student-centered teaching that combines visual demonstrations, guided problem-solving, hands-on exercises, and practical examples. Learners are encouraged to hypothesize, experiment, and reflect on outcomes, developing both independence and mastery. My teaching style prioritizes patience, engagement, and adaptability to ensure students feel supported while exploring challenging concepts.
Outside the classroom, I remain actively engaged in research, laboratory projects, and the latest developments in chemical sciences. Watching students progress from confusion to understanding, and from hesitation to confidence, is deeply rewarding. My mission is to provide learners with technical knowledge, analytical skills, and intellectual curiosity while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the elegance, logic, and practical applications of chemistry.

Chemistry becomes a fascinating and deeply engaging subject when learners can see the connection between theoretical principles and practical, real-world phenomena. My lessons cover a wide range of topics, including atomic structure, molecular bonding, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, reaction kinetics, acids and bases, and analytical chemistry techniques. I emphasize conceptual understanding through visual models, interactive problem-solving exercises, laboratory simulations, and relatable examples that make complex ideas approachable. Each lesson is designed to cultivate critical thinking, curiosity, and independent reasoning, encouraging learners to explore, question, and hypothesize as they develop confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
Lessons are carefully tailored to the student’s level of proficiency. Beginners focus on building strong foundational knowledge, including basic chemical principles, simple calculations, and laboratory safety protocols. Intermediate learners tackle multi-step reaction mechanisms, quantitative problem-solving, and interpretation of experimental data. Advanced learners explore reaction modeling, thermodynamic analysis, complex equilibrium scenarios, and advanced laboratory techniques. Every session includes stepwise explanations, hands-on exercises, reflective discussion, and personalized guidance to ensure conceptual clarity and analytical growth, reinforcing understanding while fostering a proactive, confident approach to chemistry.
Beyond academics, chemistry lessons strengthen analytical reasoning, patience, attention to detail, and systematic thinking. Students gain satisfaction as abstract chemical principles are applied in practical experiments and real-life examples, building both competence and confidence. My goal is to help learners achieve mastery, curiosity, and an enduring appreciation for chemistry, preparing them for academic success, laboratory proficiency, and real-world problem-solving across scientific contexts.
