About Harley
My fascination with chemistry began with exploring the logic of reactions and the beauty of molecular interactions. I completed a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, gaining expertise in physical, organic, and analytical techniques. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided learners of varying abilities, helping them develop conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in laboratory and theoretical work.
I emphasize clarity, structured learning, and hands-on experience. Many students initially struggle with abstract chemical principles or lab techniques, so I break complex topics into manageable segments, provide real-life examples, and encourage experimentation to build understanding and confidence.
Outside teaching, I actively engage in research, laboratory projects, and applied chemical studies, which enrich my lessons with practical context. Witnessing students progress from uncertainty to mastery, analytical reasoning, and practical competence is immensely rewarding. Supporting learners in understanding chemistry while fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Lessons combine clear explanations, interactive examples, and practical exercises, ensuring learners understand both theory and application while developing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Beginners explore atomic theory, basic reactions, laboratory safety, and chemical nomenclature to establish a strong foundation. Intermediate learners delve into stoichiometric calculations, titrations, reaction kinetics, equilibrium concepts, and data interpretation. Advanced learners focus on organic synthesis, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and experimental design, integrating theoretical understanding with practical exercises and critical analysis. Each session includes demonstrations, problem-solving tasks, and personalized guidance to reinforce comprehension and mastery.
