About Amrita

My journey in chemistry began with a simple curiosity about how substances change during reactions. This interest encouraged me to study chemistry at the university level, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree. Over the last 6 years, I have taught students from different educational backgrounds and helped them develop a clearer understanding of chemical concepts. Teaching chemistry allows me to share my interest in science while guiding students through complex topics.

I believe that patience and clear explanation are essential for effective science teaching. Many students initially feel overwhelmed by chemical formulas and calculations. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down each concept into manageable parts so learners can gradually build their understanding. I encourage students to ask questions and participate in discussions because active learning strengthens comprehension.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading about scientific discoveries and environmental chemistry. Continuing to learn helps me bring interesting examples and updated knowledge into my lessons. Watching students develop confidence and curiosity about chemistry is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching. My goal is to support learners in building strong scientific understanding that will benefit their academic progress.

About the lesson

Chemistry often appears difficult when students focus only on formulas without understanding the ideas behind them. My lessons aim to make chemistry more understandable by explaining concepts in a simple and structured way. We begin with the foundations of chemistry such as atoms, elements, and molecules. By understanding these building blocks, students are able to follow more advanced topics like reactions and chemical equations with greater confidence.

During lessons, I guide learners through topics including bonding, reaction types, acids and bases, and chemical calculations. Each topic is explained through clear examples so students can see how theory connects to practical situations. We solve problems together and analyze each step carefully so that learners understand the reasoning used in the solution. Diagrams and visual explanations are also used to make abstract ideas easier to imagine.

As students become more comfortable with chemistry, they begin to see how chemical processes influence everyday life. From cooking to environmental changes, many daily experiences involve chemical reactions. My goal is to help students recognize these connections while strengthening their academic skills. With supportive guidance and consistent practice, learners gain confidence and begin to approach chemistry with curiosity and understanding.
