About Nash
My lessons focus on laboratory techniques with a relaxed and practical approach. I use instrumental analysis to teach core concepts in analytical chemistry. We cover various forms of spectroscopy, including NMR, IR, and UV-Vis, as well as chromatography and quantitative analysis methods. Together, we explore how these techniques are applied in real laboratories and industries.
I guide learners in understanding each step of the methods and interpreting the results accurately. Complex concepts are broken down into simple, practical examples that connect directly to real-world applications. This approach helps build confidence and competence in using laboratory instruments.
Lessons also focus on troubleshooting common issues, ensuring students gain a clear understanding of experimental challenges. I emphasize making chemistry relevant to practical work, whether in chemical engineering projects or DIY formulation tasks.
By linking theory with hands-on applications, I support learners in mastering laboratory techniques effectively. My goal is to make experiments understandable, meaningful, and engaging. Together, we bring the lab to life and make analytical chemistry a practical, exciting skill.

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 10 years of experience and a BSc in Polymer Chemistry. My work focuses on chromatographic techniques like Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). I use these methods to explain how pollutants are analyzed and monitored in the environment. Teaching environmental analytical chemistry is one of my greatest passions, especially when exploring sampling methods and separation principles.
I enjoy guiding students through detection limits and interpreting complex environmental data. My approach links theory with practical applications, showing how analytical chemistry addresses real-world problems. From tracking water contaminants to assessing air pollution, I emphasize the relevance of chemistry in environmental protection.
I focus on helping learners build confidence in using analytical tools and understanding the results they produce. Lessons are hands-on, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. I also highlight how small changes in methodology can significantly impact outcomes.
