About Mark
I'm currently accepting students that are looking for an edge over the competition. As your tutor I can assure you that you will have the necessary chemistry education to further your career in science, engineering, or what ever path you take. I have multiple degrees in chemistry and have had careers based in both academics and industry.
I have a BS in chemistry from Union College, a MS in analytical chemistry from the University of Rhode Island, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
My resume includes Argonne National Laboratory, where I conducted research to evaluate the impact of nuclear waste in groundwater. As a research associate at MIT I conducted laser research in medicine and toxicology. Prior to joining Polaroid in the mid 90's, I was a consultant for a small graphics research company which used laser spectroscopy to evaluate composite materials for high resolution imaging.
I have taught chemistry at both high school and college levels, including Honors Chemistry (10th grade), freshman chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, and physical chemistry.

My teaching style includes reading comprehension with periodic question and answer time. Computer simulations may be provided along with real life scenarios to aid in understanding. Every lesson includes extensive problem solving to prepare student for lectures, labs, and exams.
