About Ruby
Hello! I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 11 years of experience teaching High School and College students. Over the years, I have successfully guided around 150 to 200 students, helping them develop both skill and confidence in the game. My teaching focuses on understanding the fundamentals of Chess, improving strategy, and strengthening critical thinking and decision-making skills.
I cover all areas of the game, including openings, middle-game tactics, endgames, and positional play. I also integrate lessons on pattern recognition, calculation skills, and strategic thinking, helping students become well-rounded players. My approach is flexible and interactive, allowing students to learn at their own pace while encouraging creativity and experimentation.
Collaboration and communication are at the heart of my methodology. I guide students to explain their moves, analyze games, and learn from both wins and losses. Integrity and sportsmanship are also emphasized, ensuring that students not only become stronger players but also develop respect for the game and their opponents.
I use practical exercises, game simulations, and real-time practice to make lessons engaging and effective. Many of my students have achieved personal milestones, improved their tournament performance, and developed a lifelong love for Chess.
