About Wren
I am a chess tutor who enjoys teaching strategy, logical thinking, and problem-solving through this classic board game.
Chess is not only a game but also a powerful way to develop focus, patience, and decision-making abilities.
I guide students step by step so they can understand both the rules and the deeper strategies of the game.
I believe learning chess becomes exciting when students start recognising patterns and planning several moves ahead.
I encourage learners to analyse positions, think carefully before moving pieces, and learn from every game they play.
This approach helps students gradually improve their tactical and strategic skills.
My goal is to help students enjoy the game while developing strong analytical thinking and concentration.
I support learners in building confidence through practice games, puzzles, and strategic exercises.
Chess learning should feel challenging, rewarding, and intellectually stimulating.

My chess lessons focus on helping students understand the basic rules, strategies, and logical thinking required to play the game confidently.
I explain how the chessboard works, how the pieces move, and how to plan moves carefully to protect the king and control the board.
This helps students develop strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills during the game.
Students learn how each piece moves and how to use them effectively in different positions during a match.
A chess game is played between two players on a board of 64 squares, where each side begins with 16 pieces such as king, queen, rooks, bishops, knights, and pawns.
Through guided practice games, students learn tactics like attacking, defending, and controlling important squares.
I also teach important concepts such as check, checkmate, and simple opening strategies that help players start the game strongly.
The main objective of chess is to checkmate the opponent’s king, meaning the king is under attack and cannot escape capture.
Practice games and puzzles help students improve concentration, patience, and strategic planning.
